you never stop looking......

Hubby Bear and I went to the Takashimaya Baby Fair yesterday..spent 2 whole hours just looking and picking up items for our lil princess. Got some stuff which we had on our shopping list and many others which was just too cute to resist!! Met a nice mummy who recommended a good baby cream to us, and she said something to us when she found out we are having a baby girl...."YOU NEVER STOP LOOKING especially when its a girl....". A statement of truth. It's amazing how we can spend hours browsing and shopping in the baby and kids department now. Everything looks interesting and intriging. "Ooh, look at that..Ooh, check this out...Ooh, I must have this one..."

Hope you'll enjoy all the stuff Papa and Mama picked for you, my little princess. xoxo

My Gooorgeous Wifey!!~

Some of our friends I've come across / spoken to whilst alone had been asking me how's my darling doing, the usual pleasantries like how's she feeling, any cravings etc etc.. but the question that makes their eyes light up or voices exclaimed is usually "I havent Seen her in such a long time!!~ how big is she now???!~"

Is like somehow friends just expect you to be different when you're preggie, haa,, but honestly for kittywifey nothing has changed much except the growing stomach and this "light-shine-down-from-heaven-on-face-*choir-singing-Ahhhhhhh*" glow that she has.. hee.. words can't realli describe so will just post some pictures to update the friends that hadn't seen her for awhile baa..

gg to a friend's wedding a weeks ago.. Kittywifey looked blessed~ly G.L.A.M. even at HDB corridor right?? hee... (cause photographer skill is blessed too laa.. keke)

We Need Soccer Season

Just a random post to whine about us missing the soccer action that we are soo used to by now.. Its been honestly quite brutally boring without our weekend dosage of shouting at the tv and doing our triumphant cheer before every kickoff that involves our beloved Manchester United..

We need Soccer Season back....

Tks darling for adopting the greatest team in the world as the team you love.. verily soon we'll have another lil fiery supporter in our ranks! hee (^_~)

Toys R' ME!

i've seen enuff photos on facebook to know that the majority of my pals were at the toyandcomic convention last weekend like myself, who had gotten kittywifey to accompany me there as i didn't wanna miss out on the fun. =D

I was there at the convention early by myself, and spent a good 1hour alone taking pictures, strolling at booths pondering what to buy and deciding if it is worth to depart with the kinda $ etc.. met Shinichiro Katai and Simone Legno in the flesh, didn't get excited enuff to feel compelled like the masses around me to swarm them for autographs and pics, although i swear my head still has the voices of guys gushing and screaming "oh my gosh!! its him!" or "quick! quick! where's the guide book??! let him sign!!!" (-_-
little did i know our very own "celebrity moment" was to come later... *grins*

years ago i bought a few "gloomy (pronounced gurumi) bear" products for kittywifey as we found it to have a quality bit of black humour bout it. i mean c'mon, a pink bear with claws dripping w/ blood.. hw utterly adorable is that. =D Anyways, we went to the booth and saw that all the merchandise were sold out, and they were cutting and selling the collage walls of their exhibition booth instead, and at first glance i saw this cool rastafari malay dude drawing on the walls pple purchased and it was only later that i realised it's the creator himself, mori Chack!!
how the uncut collage Wall of the booth looked like..

We joined the Q instantly but kittywifey was getting grouchy as the Q didn't move for at least 30mins.. we didn't give up and when it was our turn (after 1hour), we noticed that the cut-up walls available aren't exactly very nice... then God opened my eyes & i saw this strip of wall behind their glass shelf containing the TV (pple who went will noe) is left intact.

With the wisdom of God, kittywifey started some mini-japanese conversation with mori chack and after some hesitation, (speaking from experience; japanese professionals hate to be told what to do, but that's another story) he & his partner agreed to cut out a specific portion of the wall we wanted JUST FOR US!! whoo-hoo! the FAVOUR of God is powerful man.. we had to wait another 20-odd mins but when we finally gotten our hands on our special piece it felt super worth it!! Felt bad for the staff & the translator though, as pple behind us saw what happened and ask for the same but mori chack & crew refused to cut another special piece and the pple turned vicious and nasty. =(

But still, mori chack is a ACE guy, super polite, no airs and somehow he still seems overwhelmed by all the attention even till now. yet behind his bashfulness, he has this air of "celebrity-ism" around him.. haa.. more so than the other artists ooh... We have officially become fans of gloomy bear!!!

Dear "Lindy"...

Mori Chack goes to work on our special piece...

And draws a special "gloomy" for us...

And our super limited edition master-piece is done!! Hallelujah!!

p.s.: am trying to get my hands on something else i saw at the convention..heehee

Our New Wkend Routine...

It was by chance that I discovered this "vintage indian" makan place not so long ago, for some inexplicable reason the place just kinda warms me on the inside and the hustle & bustle of the restaurant is very nostalgic.. maybe its the ceramic tiles, maybe its the glass-paned windows, it may even be the dull-pink coloured walls.. but something about this place just clicks with the ah-chek in me. (^_^)

So kittywifey and I had "adopted" this place as our saturday-brunch place. I would highly recommend the white rice set w/ chicken masala & Kittywifey's favourite paper-thosai. Everyone eats with their hands here and I can already imagine bringing my BB Kitty to this place when she's grown.. keke.. but think cannot let her sit on their kiddy-ride.. cause the music that comes out is Classic Indian-Pop Hits! LOL!
There's plenty more on the menu that we had not tried though, am not gonna divulge the exact whereabouts so that those that are interested can go hunt for yourselves. hee. They serve really good teh-tarik too!

We had always driven there but we decided to take public transport there last sat so that we can venture around little India, we deliberately walked the inner parts of little india (away from the main streets) and were pleasantly enchanted by the colors of shops, and even bollywood pop music that were being played in the lesser-exposed areas! There were art galleries and dance studios and the sights and sounds made us felt like we were abroad.. nice!

3 satisfied Customers!!!
So maybe we will see some friends there on saturdays? haa.. if any of u guys/girls do visit the place let us know what you had tried so if its any bleh u'll save us from ordering it and hence earn the title of "true-friend"! =P

first overseas trip for 3. Hee

Kittywifey and I decided to take a short break and took off to Nusa Dua, Bali one week after her first trimester. We've never been to Bali before and it's been awhile since we took a break overseas and this will be BB's first flight (technically)! haa..

We took Garuda airlines as SQ has no seats on the flight back and we've to say the flight there was not as good as the flight back. Encountered a really blur (senior)stewardess on the flight there but the return flight were full of professional ones. so overall Garuda wasn't as bad as we thot it wld be.

We "HEART" Nusa Dua! it is peaceful, quiet and the hotel that Kittywifey chose was great! And because of a divine delay in our arrival flight, by the time we arrive at the hotel (1130pm) the on-duty manager upgraded us from a sea-view room to a sea-view suite!! the suite is so huge like x5times our flat! haa.. praise God!

We made a deliberate effort to do nothing for this trip and just spent most of our time relaxing at the beach and pool, we did muster the adventurous spirit in us and went off to Kuta one evening.. sorry to Kuta fans,,, we didn't like the place at all... it was all too cluttery and we find ourselves constantly comparing it to patong beach and we find ourselves missing the latter more and more as we soldier-on and walked down the stretches of Kuta...

Wifey reading her "shopaholic" book and showing off her sexylegs.. =)

Which brings me to my next rant.. Phuket pple > Bali pple.

Not that we met any crooks *actually one airport shop charge me extra for mineral water by hiding behind the counter & tearing off the price tag and another offered to drag our luggage at the collection area thn asked us for $ (-_-)~ * and generally Bali pple are nice and all but somehow you feel that the sincerity level is not there, and the megawatt smile that they give to you is not of the hospitality kind but more of a monetary "hope you give fat tips" kinda feeling. Hope I've not offended anyone but that's just the way it was for me.

We enjoyed the trip but Kittywifey had food-poisoning on the day we were supposed to fly back to S'pore, got me really worried (Kitty puke count for whole day = 8 times) and we had to see the hotel doc, admist all of the worries we confessed of her wholeness in Christ and she was fine and well by the time we got back to S'pore at around 1am. =)

P.S: we now know why ang-mohs always order drinks without ice, cause they make ice cubes from their tap water and that's where the contamination lies. =P

Wifey had to wait for 8hours at the hotel before our flight back, so it was tough for her but she still managed to stay glam! haa.. (above pic is her napping aft 6th bleh-ing...)

Looking back, the time we had was fantastic for the most parts & the sunshine was accompanied by the most valiant of sea breezes you can imagine, and though we were glad to come back, we would definitely think of visiting Nusa Dua again..
Bye Bye!!
P.S: We found some stone monkey statues round the hotel and decided to take a series of pics with them (hope u can tell who's the monkey), Enjoy!
note to kittywifey: though its unlikely we can travel before the start of your 3rd tri, but I promise I'll bring you for a deserved break next year when our princess is more settle oki? =D

The reason for our Hiatus..

Its been awhile since we blogged on this post, and there is a perfectly good reason Y.

Brace yourselves folks.. its because.. KittyWifey's Preggie!!! =D

hee.. she's been perfectly preggi for about 18th-week this week and apologies to all friends that have been kept in the dark so loong but its just that we were just waiting for a right time to break the Good news. hee.

for all the common questions that u may wanna know, here's the low down. (read b4 u start calling us hor. haa)

1. When is the expected delivery date?
16 November 2008

2. Gender?
Princess

3. When was the "manufacturing" moment?
dun really noe e exact time, but an advice to all guys who are trying, maybe bak-kwa will make ur lil swimmers stronger. haa..

4. How's mummy doing throughout e pregnancy so far?
Great! no morning sickness, and absolutely nothing negative is happening. Praise God for the truths that we know about supernatural pregnancy and I know my wife is going to have a wonderful journey. Even her fav past-time, sleep, or desire to sleep has been multiplied!! haa.. She just konked throughout and no more early mornings for daddy and no late night cravings.. God is Good... =D

5. Did mummy put on alot of weight?
Nope, currently just put on bout 3kg, which is good. Our target is 10kg for the entire pregnancy period.

6. Did daddy put on alot of weight?
Nope, Daddy was NEVER fat to begin with.

7. Mummy has any special cravings??
hmmm... no lei... but she developed a heightened sense of smell, like kena biohazard material become superheroine, can now smell the faintest scent.. so top of her list of "bleh" smell is "MSG smell" (Dun ask me i dunno what's that too)
She hated sweet stuff during the first 8 weeks but now ok liao. =)

8. Does mummy still look underaged?
yes. just got "inviting stares" from economic rice ah-bengs again 2 days ago. haa... apparently ah-bengs dun really care about round bellys huh? =p

9. Does mummy still look gorgeous?
Of course! Yummy-mummy is an understatement for kitty wifey. see question 8.
10. Do we have a name for the BB??
95% sure of one but am not gonna tell u. =P

Have to say these few months had been a lil bit of an adventure. Every now & thn, when looking at our kooky-selves we really worried bout our ability to raise a kid while technically we're behaving like one when we're arnd each other. But am really looking forward to our blessed baby being born into our lives and the thought of being parents is just so overwhelmingly great that words can do no justice to it. God is in-charge of my household. =)

I have so much things and thoughts I wanna say (its been accumulated for 4 mths) but I dun wanna make this a whiny post, so just gonna let you have a sneak preview of our Blessed BB!!

THANKS for the mEmoRies

Last sunday we bid farewell and parted with our virgin Canon dSLR (350D) which has served us well since June 2006. It has opened our eyes to details which we would normally miss and the joys of capturing special moments throughout our daily lives. With its impeccable ability to capture shots which could never be done by an ordinary digital camera, it soon also influenced our mates to join in the frenzy of owning an dSLR. The latest being Joreen who took over our dSLR partly as an opportunity to capture those special "first"(s) of her new born nephew, Ryan. Awww......

Anyway, as we trust in the Lord to provide us with a new and better dSLR soon, we look back at all the photos taken with our 350D and the what can we say...Thanks For (capturing) the Memories.

We're Going to the Zoo Zoo Zoo, How about you? you? you?

Well, that's the song that Kitty-wifey and me sang on Sunday morning after Church as that is exactly where we're heading!

Due to some Divine assistance, I was able to get my greedy paws on 2 Zoo tix for S$5, so armed with our camera and along with the built-up enthusiasm and excitement (mostly self-created) we happily raced down mandai road.

The weather wasn't pretty but it was kinda nice and cool, giving an english-feel over the day' and the animals didn't mind the absence of sun but still came to greet us and joined us in the falling lil droplets of soft rain.

It's been 2yrs since we've been to the zoo and it has changed, for the better that is, kudos for the friendly staff hired and i have to say our Zoo is really one of the best in the world, The highlight of the day for us was definitely the white tigers, splash safari and the feeding of the polar bears!

A Sun-bear that just woke up. They love to Zzz like me!

The "casanova-romeo" Seal!

The Jackass Penguin. Really.
That's their name.

Anyone noes what animal is this??

Cats Are the same every-kind la...

As a treat, kitty-wifey bought her favourite Bear a companion to fool with at our pad! Tks honey for my new scratching toy and the kiddo-day we had at the Zoo!! We'll go again when the carousel's ready okie?? hee..

P.S..... I

It's been awhile that i went pak-tor with my kitty-wifey, so upon the recommendation of edwin, i booked two tix to go watch "PS I Love You" on tues night with her

**Was really excited when collecting the tix from AXS machine! it's really cool and came home to brag bout the machine to wifey for 5 mins! (>_<)**

it felt a lil adolescent when we were dressed and ready to leave the hse, it was then i kinda realised that it seems for most of the time, the weekday had been somewhat transformed into a ritual of: -

1. wakin up (reluctantly),
2. going to work,
3. coming home after work,
4. make sure we're clean, find makan nearby, then
5. sleep (happily) and countdown to Fri.

So this sudden change of going out to watch movie on a TUES was kinda "wild" for us, i mean.. it's only 1day aft MON u noe. but it gives me a nice fuzzzy feeling cause it felt nice to spend time and doing something we used to do when we were literally teenagers. I know not everyone thinks i'm sane but i'm really glad that till now asking my wife out for a date actually still excites me (no dirty thoughts here pls).

Anyways.. The movie was really Good! I'm glad i didn't read the book by cecelia ahern though, cause i may have be less affectionate of the movie version then as its nearly almost always the case with screen adaptations isn't it?

I really didn't think much of gerard butler's acting in the beginning but as the movie strolls along i kinda think he's not too bad.. Kitty Wifey really likes the wardrobe of the cast esp hilary's swank's. "fashionable yet wearable" were the wise words of the Feline-Diva.

Really enjoyed the night out and the company I married 2 years ago so it mustbe great! hee.. will try to "date" u out more often ooh!!

Take a Pic b4 Pak-Tor!!

Chinese NewYear 200ei8ht

phew.. with CNY 08 finally over last thurs, am reflecting on how this year's CNY was...

The first five days was excruciatingly tiring.. had to rush to two places for reunion dinner, (but the foood was great at both mum's plc) on the eve and then it was just non-stop visiting to relatives' places, though CNY is becoming less of a festival for both of us as we get older, (losing the excitement we used to get as a kid, mayb it's the loss of monetary benefits..haa.. or maybe its the free new clothes... hmmm..) we really enjoyed the time spent together with our families and friends though... Of course the joy of freely eating all the goodies without guilt helped!!

Was afraid pple will mistake me for a pizza delivery boy so better carry oranges around.. haa

Sweet CNY Kiss from my KittyWifey!

And what's CNY without some good ol' Friendly-gambling right?? kekekeke....

Just when Hubby posted on our enormous collection of shoes... we have yet another (gorgeous to say the least) pair of sneakers to add on to our collection. A very very special and absolutely neat pair of sneakers which Hubby ordered from the UK for his own birthday. A treat for his 28th birthday. Sweet.

MILLIPEDE Syndrome

Simon-Dad : "You all buy shoes like you're a millepede..."

hmm... suddenly thought of what my father-in-Grace said to us (and Kittywifey's Mum + Sis) few yrs ago.. we don't deny we like to buy shoes but guess Y this statement rang in my brain's partly because me n' kitty were discussing bout our shopping weaknesses yesterday n' today whilst out in town.. as well as when me came home just now, me realised that the following picture is just about the average sight of what greets us Ev'day when we enter thru the front door of our pad, whereby we'll then mental-race each other to say the following remark just to tease one another of our *archilles-heel* of shopping...

"wah Darling, you got alot of friends come over hor?? keke"

After taking the above picture, i then decided to "document" the other places where we keep our shoes at in the house...

First our shoe cabinet just outside our bedRo0m..

.. then our Walk-in Wardrobe,

.. finally I decided since i went through with all that trouble, Why not see if we really hv the "millipede-syndrome" and the following pictures are the result of my findings pweeze: -

Haa.. I guess e two of us may hv a very very vveeerryyy slight case of the "millipede-syndrome" la, but we just have been blessed so much that up till this point we really have no idea we had this amount of shoes in the house.. but as i was goin through our "collection".. i came across this shoebox and guess no-one could have put it better....

Last~day of Break for Kitty!!

Today's the last day of CHRISTmas break for Kitty~wifey. But instead of indulging herself to slacking at home, being the sweet girl that she is she volunteered to bring me to stock-up on me COmics! Hee.. knowing that she has a craving, i suggested to go "tian-tian" curry rice at henderson, her fav curryrice store; for BKfast. Sorrie no pics here, dunno Y everytime eat that rice very fast gobble down de.. (as with any other food for us,, haa...)

Went to Plaza Sing for my dosage of COmics and found an old favourite! these sugar with flour waffle thingy but its in balls shape! not only issit a novelty, but also yummy!

We munched away at the lil flour balls while watching 2 JC boys playing "Guitar-Hero" on X-box360. They weren't very good, but we'd be worst! keke...

We then went over to the museum to take some nice nice pics. Kitty~wifey went online & saw they had this free exhibition by this Japan design team *GROOVISIONS*. They have designs and collabs with labels such as MTV & Hermes, CD, Vinyl sleeves for music artists, Jap Chic restaurants but most products are centred around these characters named CHAPPIE. Their exhibition is SOOO cute and Cool! pity they don't allow photography inside the exhibition,, my SLR is weeping... but still took alot of nice shots around the museum but can't put ev'thing here so go look see my Facebook album if free baa..

Love u darling for the museum trip n' indulging me with fictional-plans to break into the museum to do a "italian job" on the cutesy exhibits. keke.. although your break is over and me starting new work soon but me am sure we'll still spend good quality time 2Gether De! AMEN!

potatOes & cheese...

Hubby Bear have been craving for the mee siam at Maxwell Market for quite a while and we finally made the trip today, yipee! had our favourite mee siam, oyster pancake, tau suan and the infamous fried sweet potato balls. its soooo good when its piping hot. crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside...oooooh....

another breakthrough for today; we finally ventured to siglap on our own!! in a bid to search for the popular Cheesecake Cafe. turns out it wasn't too hard to find and it is a really nice chill out spot. had a loooong discussion of which cakes to try only to have the waitress come back to us after we ordered (in the midst of our anticipation, sigh) that the american cheesecake we ordered was not avail.

nevertheless, the chocolate cheesecake and walnut cheesecake were still one of the better ones that we've had.

Hubby Bear ended up browsing thru Men's Health (UK version, of coz) while trying out some of the mini but very difficult exercises from the mag. AND the exercises really DO work!

Thanks Hubby, for taking the effort to do all these to keep in shape. And yes, I will be ready to go for our run together again whenever you'd like.
